Describe yourself in 5 words or less?
Wow, that’s a hard one to kick off with….. (long, long pause) OK I would have to go with;
Meticulous / Motivated / Direct / Hungry / Appreciative
I would be very interested to see what my colleagues would come up with!
Which TV or movie character do you identify with?
Hmmm another hard one, purely based on the workplace I would have to go with Gordon Ramsey in Hell’s Kitchen! He is extremely passionate about what he does and has a real eye for detail, although he might sometimes be portrayed as a little let’s say harsh, it’s clear that it’s because he cares so much about what he does and wants to push others to aspire to his same high standards, which ultimately is in their best interests.
What is your most-used emoji?
Thumbs up, there’s no better way to finish off a sentence ????
Favourite movie / TV show of all time?
Easy… Band of Brothers!
If money wasn’t a factor, what car would you drive?
Difficult one, I do love my cars but at the same time I get bored very quickly and after a week or so I am already thinking about what’s next. I would probably have to start with a Lamborghini Centenario, money really would need to be a none-factor, you would be looking in the region of £1.5million to purchase and I can’t begin to image how much the insurance would set you back.
Do you have any pets?
Nope, no pets at the moment – I love dogs, having grown up with them in the family house as a child, but my partner and I work long hours and when the kids are at school it wouldn’t be fair to keep a dog locked up in the house all day long. Years down the line, perhaps when the kids have grown up and “flown the nest” and it’s time to slow down a little, I definitely see myself having a dog (Cocker Spaniel or Alsatian) or two to help keep me active!
What is your favourite food and drink?
If I am being totally honest, pretty much anything that is bad for you really – I am a real sucker for fast food and takeaways along with locally brewed ales.
What is your favourite sport and sports team?
Football all day long – I’m a lifelong follower of the red and white wizards (Sheffield United). I don’t get that often, but I love to spend a Saturday afternoon at Bramall Lane and I am already looking forward to us beating Leeds next season!
How do you spend your time away from the office?
Nothing beats spending time with the family – we love to get out of the house at the weekend or evenings during the summer and spend time exploring one of Sheffield’s many parks. We’re very fortunate to live in a city with so much green space and right on the edge of the peak district.
What is your “go to” karaoke song?
I’m not a singer really, at least not in public…. That said a fair few drinks into the night I’d probably go with Sweet Caroline – nice easy lyrics that people can’t help but sing along to, hopefully drowning out my efforts.
